Love the life of riley. I prefer the william bendix version,but at 31 years old it makes me wish it grew up in the 40s, and 50s

Jackie Gleason originally starred in this Dumont Television Network series - which had been adapted from the radio series. William Bendix would later star (as he did during the radio series run on ABC's Blue Network). I have always enjoyed this show - thanks for the upload.

I had known Jackie Gleason had once starred in a version of "The Life of Riley", but I hadn't seen the series until now. It's no "Honeymooners", But it's pleasant, and a good example of what early sitcoms were like.

Plot: Riley has to have his Tonsils out, But becomes hilariously scared.

Not the best show of the period, But certainly not the worst.
